CardVault

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-24

These terms govern your use of CardVault. By creating an account you agree to them. The service is currently in beta and provided free of charge to a small group.

1. The service

CardVault is a tooling layer that automates personal workflows on top of the CardTrader marketplace — tracking wishlists, running scheduled scans, surfacing price alerts, and recording purchases. CardVault is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by CardTrader.

2. Account registration

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • You must provide accurate registration information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials (password, CardTrader JWT, AI API key) confidential.
  • One human, one account. Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent limits.

3. CardTrader integration

CardVault interacts with CardTrader using a JWT that you provide voluntarily. You are solely responsible for:

  • Your compliance with CardTrader's own Terms of Service — read them at cardtrader.com/en/docs/api.
  • All actions CardVault takes on your behalf on CardTrader, including purchases, cart changes, listing updates, and order operations.
  • Keeping automation ceilings (max spend, max concurrent jobs) set to values you are comfortable with. CardVault enforces the ceilings you configure; it cannot enforce what you do not configure.

CardTrader may rate-limit or suspend your integration. CardVault surfaces those responses to you but does not override them.

4. Beta status and availability

  • CardVault is beta software. Features may change, be temporarily unavailable, or be removed with reasonable notice.
  • We target reasonable uptime but make no formal SLA. If the service is down when an alert would have fired or a job would have run, we are not liable for missed opportunities on CardTrader.
  • Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where possible. Emergency maintenance may occur without notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to violate laws or third-party rights.
  • Interfere with CardVault's operation (abuse rate limits, flood endpoints, attempt unauthorized access).
  • Scrape or copy data belonging to other CardVault users.
  • Resell, relicense, or expose the service to third parties without written permission.
  • Use CardVault to purchase or inventory goods you cannot legally transact on CardTrader in your jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and to refuse service to anyone at our discretion.

6. Your content and data

You retain full ownership of the data you input — wishlists, purchase records, settings. You grant CardVault the minimum license needed to operate the service on your behalf (store, process, transmit to CardTrader when you initiate an action). That license ends immediately when you delete your account.

See the Privacy Policy for details on what we store and why.

7. Money movements

CardVault never processes payments directly. All purchases, payouts, refunds, and disputes happen on CardTrader's platform using the payment methods you register there. CardVault cannot reverse a CardTrader transaction — contact CardTrader support for any dispute.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardVault and its operator are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Loss of profits, data, or opportunities arising from service downtime.
  • Purchases or listings you (or CardVault on your behalf, within the ceilings you configured) make on CardTrader.
  • Actions taken by CardTrader against your account.

Our cumulative liability in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of €100 or the amount you have paid for the service in that period (currently €0, since the beta is free).

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CardVault and its operator against any third-party claim arising from (i) your misuse of the service, (ii) your violation of these terms, (iii) your violation of CardTrader's terms, or (iv) your breach of applicable law.

10. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Account & privacy.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
  • On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may amend these terms. Material changes are announced by email to registered users at least 14 days before the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights under your local law.
